Role of eBES
eBES is a workshop working
within the CEN/ISSS structure. Its role is multiple (see full information at:
CEN/ISSS W/S eBES). His role in the field
of ebXML is following:

Create and
implement a European ebXML information Centre;
This web site is the main output of this task.

Organize awareness campaigns to encourage the use of ebXML
in Europe.
The ebXML awareness campaign has been made concrete by a series of ebXML events
throughout Europe (see
ebXML events by eBES
tab).

Carry out specific activities complementing, at
the European level, the new global ebXML framework, such as the creation of a repository or translation of business
terms.

Act as the European Entry point on
standardization initiatives related to semantics for e-business.

Provide inputs to the UN/CEFACT and OASIS groups dealing with ebXML.
