Standardisation bodies, consortiums and vendors supporting ebXML are listed with the link to their home page and supporting statement relating to ebXML.

The lists of standardisation bodies, consortiums and vendors given in this section are far from being exhaustive and any demand for adding a new organisation is welcome.

eBES is a CEN/ISSS workshop and is to create within Europe a central point focusing on the latest technologies used for the exchange of electronic business data. This central focal point will provide information about new standardized technologies in this field, will foster their use, will participate in or provide input to the global processes defined by ebXML, OASIS and UN/CEFACT. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role SMEs can play, without neglecting the large enterprises who already made huge investments in eCommerce and want to exploit these further.

e.centre is the trading name of the Association for Standards and Practices in Electronic Trade.  e.centre adds value to its members by being the pre-eminent, most trusted source of the best standards for business data and the best practices for electronic commerce.  e.centre believes that ebXML offers the business world the best chance of avoiding the standards complexity and inconsistencies that have dogged EDI. All businesses should ensure that their development teams are tracking ebXML standard specifications and should insist that migration to ebXML is included in the requirements of their XML projects.

KIEC Korea Institute for Electronic Commerce  http://www.kiec.or.kr/

As a intermediary between the government and the private sector, KIEC is trying to develop domestic electronic commerce. KIEC is a competent organization in charge of electronic commerce promotion and standardization in Korea.As the entry point of ebXML standardization in Korea, KIEC fully endorses the ebXML Initiative.

OAGI Open Applications Group Inc http://www.openapplications.org/index.htm

The Open Applications Group is a non-profit consortium focusing on best practices and process based XML content for e-Business and Application Integration.  The mission of the Open Applications Group is to define and encourage the adoption of a unifying standard for e-Business and Application Software interoperability that reduces customer cost and time to deploy solutions.  The Open Applications Group supports ebXML and is taking several steps forward to adopt and converge it with their own body of work.

OTA Open Travel Alliance  http://www.opentravel.org/index.cfm

The Open Travel Alliance is dedicated to helping the travel industry take full advantage of the near universal access to the Internet.  Travel industry business and technology leaders responsible for product distribution are working together through the OTA to transform the travel industry into one global supermarket of products and services.
This will be realized through development of a commonly accepted communications process using XML.   At the Annual Advisory Forum meeting of May 14, 2001, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, the OTA Architecture team agreed that the ebXML Message Handling Service met all of OTA's architectural requirements. The Architecture team agreed to standardize on ebXML as a recommended "reference" envelope layer.

RosettaNet is a consortium of major Information Technology, Electronic Components and Semiconductor Manufacturing companies working to create and implement industry-wide, open e-business process standards. RosettaNet is a self-funded and non-profit organization. These standards form a common e-business language, aligning processes between supply chain partners on a global basis.  RosettaNet plans to integrate support for the ebXML Messaging Services Specification in future releases of RosettaNet's Implementation Framework (RNIF).

Tradegate ECA is a not-for-profit, non-government, user organisation, headquartered in Sydney, Australia . It's foremost role is to facilitate the use of electronic commerce techniques for the exchange of information between customers and their suppliers.  As the organisation in Australia vested with the responsibility of providing liaison with UN/CEFACT and its Working Groups, Tradegate ECA is very pleased to herald the successful conclusion of the ebXML Initiative sponsored by UN/CEFACT and OASIS.  Tradegate ECA which has a mission to 'promote and provide practical electronic commerce services for Australian communities with similar business needs' sees ebXML as an integral part of the electronic business landscape and is working to ensure its uptake by the Australian business community."

Commerce One is one of the founding participants of ebXML and contributed by co-authoring several ebXML specifications and technical reports. The company endorses the importance of ebXML in enabling electronic commerce and intends to implement ebXML support into its products. Commerce One plans to offer an ebXML gateway into MarketSite(tm), the e-marketplace operating environment. This ebXML gateway will allow trading partners and endpoint applications to connect to e-marketplaces via ebXML Transport Routing and Packaging specification version 1.0. It is also planned to support ebXML Business Process specifications, ebXML Core Components specifications and the ebXML Registry/Repository specifications as they mature. Support for these specifications enables connectivity to Commerce One's e-marketplace platform via the open standard that ebXML represents.

DAT has achieved a leadership position in the industry for technology development with its new generation of products and services for enterprise integration, based on distributed object and Web services technologies.  In support of ebXML Data Access Technologies has announced to provide full ebXML support in the Component-X platform.  DAT has committed to releasing Component-X™ for ebXML, which will read and write ebXML business process specification, browse the ebXML repository, and communicated via the ebXML transport using adapters.

Drake Certivo is the global leader of knowledge-based systems for technology: Education, certification and compliance solutions.  Drake Certivo is the Service Provider for the RosettaNet Ready(tm) program. In that role, the company is in a good position to enable the test services for RosettaNet and emergent standards such as ebXML.  As a strong participant in ebXML particularly the Implementation, Interoperability and Conformance (IIC) technical committee under OASIS, Drake Certivo can assist in test plan and test case development.

Ponton X/P supports document validation, signing, encryption, archiving, and reliable exchange of XML documents with business partners based on the ebXML MS 2.0 specification. The software is used for operating systems such as: Windows NT/2000/XP, Linux, Solaris, HP/UX, IBM/AIX. Participants of the papiNet project use Ponton X/P to exchange purchase orders, order confirmations, delivery notes, call-offs, invoices and documents of many more types between paper suppliers and their customers from the publishing & print sectors.
